Tidy Towns, Ballymun, Dublin, Ireland
The Ballymun Tidy Towns committee was
founded in 2006 and consists of representatives
from the Ballymun Neighbourhood Council,
Ballymun Regeneration Limited, Dublin City Council,
Global Action Plan, Sillogue Eco,
Poppintree Environmental, SuperValu Ballymun,
Ballymun Shopping Centre Management, Local Councillors,
and other community representatives.
The Tidy Towns is not purely a ‘neat and tidy’ competition.
It also incorporates wider reaching
objectives including overall community approach
in various activities such as neighbourhood
clean ups, promotion of healthy walk ways
(Sli na Slainte’s), encouragement of nature,
Green schools, recycling and much much more.
The Ballymun Tidy Towns Committee
would like to invite people throughout
the community to get involved with
Tidy Towns initiatives in the area.
