Shangan Park
The new Shangan Public Park was officially opened by the Deputy Lord Mayor, Cllr. Andrew Montague on Thursday, December 9, 2004.
The festivities included : Santa Claus, Billy Bonkers, Hot Chocolate, Puppet Show and the Munch Samba Band.
Marie Cooper, Chairperson of Shangan Neighbourhood Forum, wholeheartedly welcomed the new park as a much needed recreation amenity for residents and children of the Shangan area . She also said that she hoped to see the proposed Coultry Public Park completed shortly.
