This apartment block development will will provide accommodation for students including some from Dublin City University. Undoubtedly the development will enhanse both the demographic profile of Ballymun and the local economy. Planning Permission was sought by Andorey Developments Limited for a development of 109 Student Apartments in seven blocks:
• Block (A) being an 11 storey block containing 8 by three bed and 1 by two bed penthouse apartment over ground floor Common/Seminar Room (modifications of 11 storey Student Residences previously approved under Planning Ref 0293/00).
• A four storey Block (B) containing 16 by three bed apartments.
• A four storey Block (C) containing 14 by three bed apartments and 2 by two bedroom apartments.
• A six storey Block (D) containing 18 by three bed apartments and 2 by two bedroom apartments.
• A four storey Block (E) containing 18 by three bed apartments.
• A four storey Block (F) containing 16 by three bed apartments.
• A four storey Block (G) containing 16 by three bed apartments - all of which are arranged around a landscaped courtyard with a basement containing car parking and ancillary accommodation including laundry rooms and stores together with related civil and external works including landscaped areas a new vehicular access and an ESB substation.
