Gateway Housing Ballymun
“Gateway” housing scheme, forms the southern Gateway to the new main street, Ballymun. The development of 129 apartments and townhouses will be landmarked by two sentinel buildings, on either side of the main street of the new Ballymun. The innovative designs won an international Royal Institute of Architects in Ireland competition in 1999.
The development is one of the section 23 opportunities in the Ballymun area. Purchasers of the Gateway dwellings in Ballymun can avail of 80% capital allowances for investors and 50% owner occupier allowances.
However 40 of the Gateway dwellings form part of Dublin City Council (DCC) housing stock and are administered by the DCC Ballymun Regional Office.

129 housing units were built in Gateway and 40 of these went to DCC tenants.
