From Housing Task Force to Ballymun Neighbourhood Council
Task Force community representatives 1989
During the late 1990s by agreement, the community representation from the Ballymun Community Coalition was to be gradually replaced by representation from new Neighbourhood Forums.
Two representatives from each Estate Forum would sit on the Board of Ballymun Housing Task Force.
Task Force Remit in the Regeneration of Ballymun
Ballymun Housing Task Force is committed to the creation of a sustainable Town and a vibrant community for the people of Ballymun. To this end the Task Force will work with the Regeneration Company (and its appointed consultants) to secure all the necessary housing, recreational, developmental and industrial facilities, which will enable the residents of Ballymun to have a viable future and equity in access and opportunity. A particular focus for the Task Force will be to assist the community to identify and voice its real needs and aspirations to be incorporated in and addressed by the Master Plan.
